Good questions

What is the NRD?

The Nationwide Readmissions Database is part of the U.S. Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP). It is one of the largest publicly available datasets of hospital readmissions in the United States.

What software will I use?

STATA. You will learn to work with complex hospitalization data in it during the class.

Do I need prior research experience?

A basic understanding of research helps. If you are completely new, our Level 1 workshop is a good place to start.

Will I work on a real project?

Yes. You work in groups with expert guidance from RC mentors, on projects suitable for conference presentation and peer-reviewed publication.

How does this help my Match application?

Database research skills are in demand, and hands-on NRD experience adds a distinctive, practical skillset to your CV.

How is it delivered?

Live on Zoom, with guided, hands-on training and Q&A throughout.
